About the practice

For families doing a lot for the first time.

This practice is built for immigrant and first-generation families balancing children, aging parents, a mortgage, and the quiet pressure of getting everything right without a roadmap.

The Sisters do not lead with policy jargon. They lead with preparation, because a good life insurance plan should not only protect income. It should reduce confusion, lower family stress, and make sure the right people know what to do when the moment is heavy.

Stewardship over sales

Every recommendation is built around the family, not the script. You get context, explanation, and room to think.

Clarity without condescension

The Sisters translate policy mechanics into plain language so your family understands what was chosen and why.

Family-shared preparation

The plan is meant to be usable in real life, by spouses and adult children, not only understood by the person who bought it.

About The Sisters

A founder story rooted in care, not performance.

Chrispina and Theodora Chitemerere are sisters, retired nurse practitioners, and now financial strategists who help families prepare for what life brings. Their work began with their own story: when Theodora was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, the two of them lived, from both sides of the hospital bed, what it means to face the unexpected — and what a real plan is worth when everything else is uncertain.

What sets them apart isn't a license — every agent has one of those. It's two careers spent caring for people, a season lived through together, and a shared conviction that preparation is dignity. They treat every conversation as stewardship: unhurried, specific, and built around the family, not the script.

Clients come to The Sisters for guidance that feels steady. They leave with a clearer plan, a better sense of what their coverage does, and the relief of knowing their family would not be left to sort everything out in the dark.

Services

Three ways The Sisters help families prepare well.

The offers are not built as pricing tiers. They are built as tiers of care, with a clear next step and room for the family to move at the right pace.

A first conversation shaped by three questions: who you are protecting, what would change if something happened, and what has stopped you from doing this before.

The Family Protection Plan

Coverage guidance + one-page family summary

A life insurance recommendation designed around what your household actually needs, plus a summary your spouse or adult child can use in a crisis.

Ongoing stewardship

The Annual Review

Yearly check-in for family changes

Coverage should keep up with real life. This annual review helps adjust the plan as children grow, debt changes, and family responsibilities shift.

Family protection calculator

A practical DIME estimate for the coverage your family may need.

This calculator uses the DIME method — Debt, Income, Mortgage, Education — to give a rational starting point. It is not a quote. It is a conversation starter your family can understand.

Testimonials

What families remember most is how the conversation felt.

"For the first time, this actually made sense."

Chrispina explained what we were buying in plain language. She did not rush us, and she never made us feel embarrassed for asking basic questions. We left knowing what our plan covered and where everything should live.

Rudo M. · Mother of two · First-time homeowners

"It felt like someone was finally on our side."

We had put this off for years because every insurance conversation felt like pressure. The Sisters changed that. They asked about our family first, then helped us choose something we could actually understand and afford.

Tatenda K. · Small business owner · Young family

"My husband knows exactly what to do now."

The one-page family summary mattered more than I expected. It brought relief. We now know who to call, what the policy is for, and how to find the documents without scrambling in a hard moment.

Nyasha D. · Healthcare professional · Pre-retirement planning

Questions families ask

Clear answers before anyone makes a decision.

Most people are not avoiding this conversation because they do not care. They are avoiding it because the process feels unclear, rushed, or overly sales-driven. This section is here to lower that friction.

It is a 45-minute conversation focused on who you are protecting, what would change if something happened to you, and what has made this decision hard so far. There is no pressure to buy on the spot.

Yes. Most families start there. The Sisters will walk you through the difference in plain language so the recommendation fits your stage of life instead of adding more confusion.

No. The process is patient by design. The goal is to help you understand your options well enough to make a clear family decision, not a rushed one.

That depends on your needs, but most families can move from first conversation to a clear recommendation within a short, manageable timeline. The pace depends on the complexity of your household and how quickly you want to move.

Yes. A major part of the value is cultural fluency and translation without talking down to people. The process is designed to create understanding, not perform expertise at your expense.

Book the Family Conversation. You do not need to know exactly what coverage you want before reaching out. You only need to be willing to start the conversation.

Book your next step
